Qingtao SHEN

Self-introduction:

In 2009, Qingtao Shen obtained his Ph.D degree  from Tsinghua University and then he went to Yale University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and University of California-Berkely as a postdoc. In 2016, Qingtao returned to ShanghaiTech University as a tenure-track assistant professor. In 2022, Qingtao joined SUSTech University as a tenured associate professor. For a long time, Qingtao is dedicated to develop temperature-dependent 4D cryo-EM and to study the molecular mechanism for membrane trafficking.


Research Interests:

◆High-resolution cryo-EM/ET with annealing

◆4D TEM under physiological temperatures

◆Membrane abscission mechanism of ESCRTs

◆Transparent mitochondrion
