Bo Wang, PhD., graduated from Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015; did postdoctoral research at California Institute of Technology until 2024; and then joined SUSTech medical school as an assistant professor. Bo is an experienced academic in the field of neurophysiology and the neural basis of animal behaviors. His studies have been published in high-profile journals including Nature Neuroscience, Cell Reports, Nature, and Cell, etc. Total citation, over 2000.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
We study neurobiological questions using songbirds.
Specifically,
1) The cellular and neural circuit basis of vocal learning.
2) Neural mechanisms underpinning the acquisition and long-term maintenance of learned behaviors.
3) Neural substrates underlying higher cognitive brain functions among avian species.
